Church Basement Ladies 2 “A Second Helping” April 12, 2011 $89 Per Person Stranahan Theater, Toledo, OH
THE NATIONAL TOUR! (Not the Dinner Theater Show)
A celebration of the church basement kitchen and the women who work there, Church Basement Ladies is a new musical comedy that follows four women as they prepare food and solve the problems of a rural Minnesota church. It’s 1969, and while the rest of the world is dealing with Vietnam and Woodstock, the church basement ladies are coming to terms with pantsuits and guitars in church! This hilarious musical comedy is a celebration of church basement kitchens everywhere and the wonderful unsung women who work there. They stave off potential disasters, share and debate recipes, instruct the young and keep the pastor on course. With good, clean laughs and memorable characters, Church Basement Ladies 2 ~“A Second Helping” is still dishing it up and is heavenly fun for all!
